Japan Care Labelling
Japanese Care Labelling standard : JIS L0217
A. Labelling method :
- The symbols should be either in black or dark blue whereas the prohibition symbols are in red and on a white ground.
- Japanese market care labelling are classified into the following sequence:

Possibility of chlorine bleaching Care Instruction

- Can be chlorine bleached.

- Do not bleach.
* Coloured products which are not usually bleached, the symbol for possibility of chlorine bleached may be omitted.
 
Ironing Care Instruction
-Ironed at high temperature (180°C - 210°C maximum)

- Ironed at medium temperature
(140°C - 160°C maximum)

- Ironed at low temperature
(80°C - 120°C maximum)

- Do not iron

* Products which are not usually ironed, the symbols for ironing may be omitted.( Except cannot be ironed).
 
Dry cleaning Care Instruction
- Dry-cleanable. Use solvent of perchloroethylene or petroleum-based matter.

- Dry-cleanable. Use petroleum-based solvent.

- Do not dry clean

* Products which can be washed with water, the symbols for dry-cleaning may be omitted. (Except do not dry clean).
 
Wringing Care Instruction
- Wrung gently

- Do not twist or wring

 
Wringing Care Instruction
- Hung and drip-dried

- Hang dry and drip-dried in the shade

- Laid down to dry

- Laid down to dry in the shade

C. Additional Labelling method
1. The word " " indicates that neutral detergent should be used.

2. The symbol " ~~ " indicates that clothes ironed should be covered with another cloth.

3. The sentence indicates that a net should be used.

4. With similiar colors

5. Only non-chlorine bleach when needed.

6. Tumble dry low.

7. Cool iron on reverse side if needed.

8. Turn inside out.

9. Separately.

10. Do not bleach

11. Do not hand wash.

12. Professional dry clean only.

13. Professional leather clean only

14. Wipe with dump cloth using mild soap.

15. Reverse with like colors.

16. Wipe clean with damp cloth.
